Beatrice Bunch

May 14, 1925 ~ December 14, 2017 (age 92) 92 Years Old

Mrs. Beatrice Bunch, 92, of 1401 Westwood Avenue, Wilson, NC, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at her residence.  The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 12 noon at Atkins Memorial Tabernacle, 6740 Rock Ridge Sims Road, Sims, NC.  Bishop Eloise Sessoms will officiate and burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Bunch was preceded in death by her her husband, Elmer Bunch ; one son, Matthew Bunch; her  parents, Robert Clay and Mary Artis Clay; four sisters, Lodie Estelle Finch, Ollie Barnes, Essie Mae Richardson and Lucille Clay; and two brothers, George Edward Clay and Buster Clay.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories:  seven daughters, Vera Farmer (Chester) of Springhope, NC, Georgia Kirby (Willie) of New York, Janie Lewis (Arthur) of Virginia, Cherry Coley (James) of Sims, NC, Co-Pastor Josephine Alston (Pastor Henry) of Baltimore, MD, Christine Washington (Michael) of Baltimore, MD and Ernestine Evans (James) of Louisburg, NC; three sons, Elder Joseph Clay (Mary) of Spring Valley, NY, Zack Bunch of New York and Samuel Bunch (Mary) of the home; 32 grandchildren including Charles Ray Finch whom she reared; 39 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; a loving sister-in-law, Mattie Clay of Wilson; her Goddaughter, Mother Dora Farmer; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special nieces, Elder Mattie Deberry and Mary H. Dew, both of Wilson.

The public viewing will be Friday, December 22, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.  At other times, the family will be receiving friends at the residence where they will also be assembling on Saturday at 11 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
