Psalm 116:15 tells us that "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Faithful Servants."

Thank You Lord that You care about what happens to Your children. Our Dear Sister, Virginia, is One of Your Precious, Faithful Servants. We want to say Thank You for all of the years that You shared her life with us. And thank You for caring and holding Virginia in Your everlasting, powerful, eternal, loving arms.

Lord God, please shower the Gibson and Forsythe Families with Your goodness and mercy in this dark hour of pain, loss and sorrow. The sting of death is trying to shatter their spirits, discourage their hearts, and destroy their faith. The pain of loss pierces deep into their hearts, their minds and souls. The tears that they shed are blinding and their voices are weakened. Their words are few, their hearts are heavy and deeply pierced. Their bodies are numb and their thoughts are cloudy, sad and at times confusing. Mourning, fear, loss, and grief have made an unwelcome visit into their lives.

But You oh Lord, are That Strength that this Family, Loved Ones, and Friends desperately need to hold them up as grief, loss, tears, and pain run their course. You know all about the personal, pain and sorrow that each of them is experiencing. Be with them, Precious Lord as they walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Do encourage, uplift, strengthen, comfort, and hold this Family closer in Your ever-loving arms. Please send countless people that will pray with them, shed tears with them, encourage, uplift, and minister to this hurting Family. May all that is done and said in this hour of loss, bring glory to Your Name.

Thank You for Your Goodness, Faithfulness, and Your Tender Mercies as we Celebrate and Mourn the Life and Memory of our Dear Sister Virginia. Above all, do Remember this Family and draw every one of them closer to You. And let each of us learn trust and put all of our hope in You O Lord.

Blessed be Your Name forevermore. Amen.

It's not every day that you get a chance to get an educator who would not only further your career and path as a student but also give life and personal skills as an individual. That's what Mrs. Forsythe did for me as I entered the 3rd grade. At the time I was not only experiencing changes as a growing boy but also at home as my parents separated. She made me feel safe and confident in not only myself but my situation. Had she not been there, unknown to her, I wouldn’t have handled the situation the way I did. She gave me the additional security I needed outside of my parent’s love and assurance. Even after leaving middle school and several years later her connection was still felt when I moved to White Oak where I had the rest of the Gibson family right across the street. For one of the first teachers to appreciate and accept my sense of humor, thank you for your hand in turning this short chubby little kid with a high top fade into a still sort of chubby man with a bald head and beard. From the Blackston and Corbett families, you will be missed and our prayers are with your loved ones. We love you... Dante Blackston.

Dear Herschel, Joshua and Christopher Forsythe, may you find strength and comfort in each other in this your hour of sorrow and grief.

A Funeral Prayer in memory of Virginia G. Forysythe - Lord, We Turn to You

Lord, we turn to You in our grief and bewilderment, for a mystery surrounds the birth and death of (wo)man.

Your will summon us into this world and then call us to depart, but Your plan is so vast and Your purposes so deep that our understanding fails, and our reason cannot follow.

Yet, You have taught us that time and space are not the measure of all things.

Beyond them is the life of eternity. We do not die into the grave but into the love of God.

It has been Your will to receive the soul of him/her, to bring him/her to the life everlasting, and she/he is beyond the tragedies of this world.

We shall find our comfort in Your teaching. Beyond the grave we shall meet together in the life that has no end.

May God bless you and keep you in His care and infinite mercy always.
Love, The Lockett Family

Dear Virginia G. Forsythe family,

There is no way to lessen the sorrow of
losing someone so precious to your family
Virginia G. Forsythe.

She was a Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother,
Aunt, Cousin, Teacher, and friend of many
and will be much remembered and much missed.
But, please remember that the Barnes family
and friends care very much and wish your
family strength and comfort at this sad
time.

We have the greatest respect for the
Forsythe/Gibson/Hinton family. As you
grieve, know that we are remembering
your family and honoring Virginia's
memory.

Sometimes it's hard to understand,
Why certain things must be.
But there's a reason for everything,
Beyond our power to see.

And we find comfort in our hearts,
To know the ones we love will find.
Eternal happiness and lasting peace,
In our great heaven.

We know that your family has the strength
in them to move on.

Your family will be in our thoughts and
prayers.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Mrs. Forsythe was my 3rd grade teacher at B.O. Barnes Elementary School. She had such an impact on my education as well as my decision to become an educator. People often wonder how it could be possible for one to have such vivid memories of teachers from such an early age; however, those teachers who impact you the greatest, you seem to never forget. I would like to impact the lives of my students in the same way.

My condolences to go out her husband, sons, and other family members and friends. May God be with you all throughout your loss and time of sorrow.

God Bless

I just wanted to extend my condolences to my former classmates, Chris and Josh! You mom was a beautiful woman, highly loved and respected in our community and school system. Seems like I just ran into her recently and she would always ask about my grandma and talk about traveling and doing other activities together with all the other retired ladies. She would remind me of her memories from when we were all younger and in grade school, and also tell me how proud she was of me now. I will miss seeing her around. I will continue to pray for you guys along with the strength of you dad and grandmother during this time of loss. Please stay uplifted and know that your help comes from the Lord. Your mother's spirit will always be with you! Love you guys!
