Mr. Melvin Williams, Jr.

Mr. Melvin Williams, Jr., 66, of 41 Grove View Terrace, Fayetteville, NC, passed away on December 6, 2016.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Mount Zion Progressive Primitive Baptist Church, 810 Black Creek Road, SE, Wilson,NC.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by: one daughter, Melody Shenease Williams; his parents, Melvin Williams, Sr. and Willie Kirby Williams; two brothers, Michael O. Williams and Ablston E. Williams and one sister, Patricia Banks.

He leaves many cherished memories to: his wife, Ida V Hood Williams of the home; two sons, Palitis Torino Hood of Columbia, SC and Curtis Earl Gatlie of Washington, DC; three daughters, Tiffany Latoniya Motes of Washington, DC, Shantise Nicole Hood of Woodbridge, VA and Frances Monita Finch( Alexander)  of Washington, DC; ten grandchildren; five brothers, Harry W. Williams, Larry D. Williams, Danny Earl Williams and Eric B. Williams all of Kenly, NC and Cedric D. Williams of Washington, DC; one sister, Kimberlin Humphrey of Wilson, NC; one sister-in-law, Frances M. Richards of Washington, DC; one brother-in-law, Oster B. Hood of Maryland; one aunt, Olivia Kirby of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,aunts,uncles,other relatives and friends.
