Please accept my sincere condolences I'm sorry for your loss, the Bible is the source of all comfort. It offers a real hope of being reunited with our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. Acts 24:15 assures us that "there is going to be a resurrection," John 5:28-29 speaks about "the hour coming in which ALL those in the MEMORIAL TOMBS will hear his (Jesus) voice and come out." Through God's (Psalm 83:18) Kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for (Matthew 6:9-10) is going to bring about so many wonderful changes for mankind. God promises to do away with death (Isaiah 25:8) and he's going to do that by means of the resurrection. God also promises us at Psalm 37:29 that "the righteous will posses the EARTH and they will LIVE FOREVER on it," so not only will he resurrect our loved ones but we will have forever with them. The Bible reports 8 instances of humans that were brought back to life on earth, the famous well known one is when Jesus resurrected Lazarus (John 11:23-25) that was a preview of what he will do on a much larger scale. Other scriptures to read to encourage and comfort you is Revelation 21:4; Isaiah 26:19; Psalm 115:16 I hope this brings Mr. Powell family and friends much comfort.

My expressions of condolence to the family. Death is an enemy soon to be destroyed-1 Corinthians 15:26. Jehovah God is aware of your loss and what you are experiencing at this time-Ezekiel 18:32. Jesus Christ will use his God-given power to resurrect the dead. Psalms 37:29 tells us God's purpose for humans - that is to live on earth in peace and perfection forever. I do hope you find a measure of comfort in these scrptures.
