Javonte Thomas

The Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Javonte Thomas, 18, of 308 Elm Leaf Court, Apt 8-B, Elm City, North Carolina will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 beginning at 3:00 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.  Pastor Ricky L. Daughtridge Sr. will deliver the Words of Comfort.  The committal services will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery located on Lane Street Ext., Wilson NC.

A visitation for Javonte will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC. 

Javonte was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Vallie Mae Crooms; great grandfathers, James Batts and George Parker; one aunt, Jolise Carmichael;

one great aunt, Shirley Crooms.

He leaves to cherish precious memories to his mother and father, Tina Thomas and Jeffrey Carmichael; seven brothers and sisters, Jamika Carmichael, Jakwon Carmichael, Shontez Carmichael, Jasmine Carmicheal, Altmaad Johnson, Kamoni and Aa’Mricale Wilkerson;  grandparents, Stella Mae Thomas (William Jr. Barnes) and Helen Carmichael; great grandmothers, Mable Farmer; five aunts, Teresa Ward (Terrence), Rochelle Moody (Tony Ray), Talisha Tune, Catina Carmichael; two uncles, Bobby Ray Batts (Mindy Goff) and Minister Tim Carmichael; several great aunts,    including Diane Crooms, Valerie Smith and Carolyn Taylor; one niece, Ja’Shona Carmicheal and a host of cousins, including a cousin he loved like a brother, Shiquan Daniels,  other relatives and friends including his girlfriend, Amandalis Merced and his three best friends, Andrew Craven, Jordan Knight and R.J. Ruffin

The family will be receiving friends at the home where they will assemble on Saturday at 2:00 pm in preparation for the funeral procession.
