Gladys Cassandra Speight

Ms. Gladys Speight, 51, of 700 S. Hinest Street, Wilson, NC, passed away May 9, 2015 at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.

Funeral arrangements are scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A public viewing will be held on, Friday, May 15, 2015 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm also at Stevens Funeral Home.

Ms. Speight was preceded in death by her parents, George Speight and Gladys Batts Speight; one brother Bobby Batts.

Sleaves leaves loving and cherished memories to: two daughters, Shaniqua L. James-Kelly (Kolin) of Raleigh, NC and Tanisha James of Stantonsburg, NC; three grandchildren, Zi'yeir kelly of Raleigh, NC, E'Nyziah Moody and Zia'Marie Moody, both of Stantonsburg; one sister, Gwendolyn McNeil of Wilson; One brother, Callie Speight of Wilson; her God-brother, Marc Applewhite of Washington, DC; her long term companion, Dwight James of Wilson; two best friends, Tata Horton and Dinah Bullock, both of Wilson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including, Keisha McNeil and Angela McNeil, whom she assisted in rearing.

The family will be receiving friends at the residence at all times.
