Mr. Willie George Howell, 94, of 1745 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Rev. James Perry will deliver the Words of Comfort. The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street , Wilson, NC.
The public walk-through visitation is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 prior to the service, also at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Preceding him in death along with his parents were: one son, Joe Spencer Howell; four sisters, Lillian Howell Horton, Earlean Howell Deans, Ruby Howell and Lucille Howell; and four brothers, David Howell, Fred Howell, Eddie Howell and John Henry Howell.
Cherished memories are left to: four children: Sheila Tynes (James) of Chesapeake, VA, Brenda Howell of Suffolk, VA, Gail Joyner of Fayetteville, NC and Amy Barbee (Vincent) of Wilson, NC; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; one sister, Sarah Shanks of Clermont, FL; a host of nieces including a special niece, Dorothy Howell; nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including a special brother-friend, Norman Barbee, Sr.
