Wanda LaGwen Peppers Jones Obituary

Ms. Wanda LaGwen Peppers-Jones, 63, of 5837 Ward Blvd, Wilson, NC, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at her home.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Higher Calling Baptist Church, 4036 Ward Blvd, Wilson, NC.

A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Preceding her in death were: her husband, Jeffrey Lee Jones; her parents, Willie Peppers and Mary Harris Peppers; three sisters, Helen Harrell, Sarah Nicholson and Angel Peppers-Gaskins; two brothers, Willis Peppers and Wallace Peppers; son-in-law, Rashio Evans.

Left to cherish precious memories are: four daughters, Dominique T. Jones of the home,Tawanda L. Pittman of Scotland Neck, NC, Rebecca J. Pender and Meshawn Eddie, both of Wilson, NC; four sons, Daquan Bowens, Kyaun Peppers and Blessed Peppers, all of Wilson, NC and Rashawn Peppers of VA ; nineteen grandchildren, Hannah, Damirah, Diane, Myquan, Amari, Travion, Jeremiah, Mikylah, Marley, King, Ashanti, Fyaith, Serenity, Precious Jameyia, YaYa, Omarion, Christian and Harmoni; two great grandchildren, Myles and Amori; three sisters, Martha Alston (Clyde) and Eulanda Banks (Rick), both of Virginia, Tara Peppers of Wilson, NC; one brother, Randy Anderson of Wilson, NC; three brothers-in-law, Weldon Jones, Arthur Jones (Mable) and Carlton Jones; four nieces, Sandra Cook (Steve) of Clayton, NC, Sheila Harrell-Richmond (James) of Durham, NC and Kimberly Peppers and Bria Kelly, both of Wilson, NC; five nephews, Roderick Harrell, Jr. (Linda) of Charlotte, NC, Reggie Alston (Charisse) and Joseph Bynum, both of Virginia and Kevin Peppers (Pam) of Greensboro, NC and Binky Gaskins,Jr. of Wilson, NC; great nieces and nephews, Chloe, Amber, Cameron, Kenya, Tyler, Roderick III, Antonio Jr., Jonathan and Reyna; two aunts, Clara Harris and Emma Bryant; two special cousins, Mae Rose Brown and Thelma Harper; mother-in-law, Hattie Mae Jones; special loves, Ma Margerette Dickerson, Elder Cathy Kent, Clarence, Samantha, Sagirath, Misty, Tiffany Harper, Desireth, Keshika, Heather, Alisa, Will, Mike, Braxton, Quadi, Telly, Janice, Marvin, The Eddies and her god-son, Mookie; a host of other cousins, loving relatives and devoted friends including her special nurses who took great care of her, Christy Goff, Jane Brinson, and Lisa D. of 3HC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
