Ms. Vernice Hines, 70, of Wilson, North Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at UNC Health Nash in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, North Carolina. Evangelist Lynette Pettaway will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, North Carolina.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina.
