Mr. Tyjuan Vinshaun Wooten, 28, of Wilson, NC passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson NC.  

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 1:00 pm at LN Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Bishop LN Forbes Street, Wilson, NC. Pastor Issac Barnes will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4965 US Highway 258, Farmville, NC.

An inspirational wake service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Ty’Juan Vinshaun Wooten, also known by many of his friends and fans as “Benji Juan” was born January 25, 1996 in Wilson, North Carolina.  Ty’ Juan attended Wilson County Schools, including Sallie B. Howard School; however, he graduated from Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, NC with the Class of 2015. After high school, he attended Wilson Technical College and Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC majoring in Business Administration.

Tyjuan was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Nell “Helen” Artis.

Ty’Juan leaves to cherish her memories: his mother, Juanita D. Artis of the home; his father, Bobby V. Wooten of Wilson NC, 4 sisters: Kailyn Grace Artis of the home, Ariel Lucus, Cambreia Savage and Vinshanna Wooten of Wilson NC and a brother, Dashon Wooten of Wilson NC.  A paternal grandmother, Jackie (Ron)Spears of Wilson NC, An Uncle, Dr. William G. Artis, Jr. of Wilson NC and three aunts: Wanda Guion of Wilson NC, Lisa Guion Hankins of Clayton NC , and Shereadder Wooten Gibbs of Wilson NC.

Additionally, he leaves to cherish his Godmother, Katonya Pettaway of Washington DC; a special aunt, Sheree Sutton of Walstonburg NC and a host of other relatives, associates and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
