Tony "Butch" Batts

Mr. Tony "Butch" Batts, 59, of 425 Garner Street W., Wilson, NC, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at his home.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Pastor Anthony Harrison will deliver the Words of Comfort.

A public walk-through is also scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2021, prior to the service also at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Butch was preceded in death by: his parents, Josh David Batts, Sr. and Frances Estelle Swinson Batts; and his sister, Shirley Diggs.

Left to cherish precious memories of Butch are: his daughter, his “babygirl”, Bridgette “Demita” Harris; three grandchildren, Kishod Harris, Amaurri Harris, and Morgan Harris; one sister, Bettie “BJ” Gooch; two brothers, Josh Batts, Sr. and Elvis Pope; his extended daughter, Larayshea Harris; two special nephews, Travis Diggs and Justin Diggs; three special cousins, Dejon Yelverton, Lejon Yelverton, and Paul Farmer; special family, Tony Farmer, David Edwards, Sherell Allen, Shavon Pippins, and Benita Hutchinson; and a host of other family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home,1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
