Tony Gaines

Mr. Tony Gaines, 51, of 4117 Seminole Rd. Wilson, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at his home.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11:00 am at Total Impact Outreach Ministry, 502 SW Jordan Street, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Preceding Tony in death were: his father, Clary Lee Gaines, Jr; his sister, Bernice Gaines; and his grandmother, Jenny Gaines.                                                                                               

He leaves precious memories to: his loving and devoted wife, Minister Shana Gaines of the home, three sons, Danta Gaines, Tony Gaines, Jr. (Jina) all of Wilson, NC, and Rayshawn Gaines of Richmond, VA; one stepson, James Dean of Wilson, NC; two stepdaughters; Juanita Dean of Wilson, NC and Tiffany Thomas (Mike) of Lucama, NC; fourteen grandchildren; his mother, Khadijah Abdollah Mohammad of California; his stepfather, John H. Grier (Leslie) of Charlotte, NC; his brother, Ahmed Nolley (Hanifah) of California; two aunts, Hattie Tillman and Joann Tillman of Charlotte, NC; one uncle, Edward Smith of Charlotte, NC; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ruffin of Greenville, NC and Teresa Wooten (George) of Wilson, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including best friends, Keenan Rouse, Russell Ward, David Ferguson, Jeremiah Miller, and Karl Knight, Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
