Mrs. Thelma Gray Brown, 78, of 6969 Bridgersville Road, Elm City, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, NC.

A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.

A public walk-through is scheduled for Friday, February 12, 2021, from 3:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Her memory will be forever cherished by: her husband of 59 years, Deacon       Albert Thomas Brown of the home; her daughter, Angela Brown Coward of the home; a nephew whom was like a son to her, Woodie O. Jones, of Wilson, NC; grandchildren, Myeisha "Nikki" Coward-Penny and Reggie A. Penny; great grandchildren; Reginae Li'Aye, Desmond Mark Anthony and Ava Veniece Penny, all of Raleigh, NC; sisters; Inez D. Forte of Wilson, NC, Winnie Dorothy Knight of, Dover, Delaware and the     remaining members of The First Missionary Baptist Golden Girls, Bertha Joyner of Elm City, NC and Mae Van Atkinson of Elm City, NC; maternal aunt, Essie Mae Wright of Wilson, NC; other relatives, Ann Brown Horne (Eddie) of Elm City, NC, Joyce Brown Walston (James) of Wilson, NC, Lawrence Gulley (Clyde) of New Orleans, LA, Edward Atkinson (Bessie) of Elm City, NC; the Farmer, Harris, Pope, Newsome and Ruffin   families; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and special godchildren, L. Regena Barnes-Staton (Danny) of Elm City, NC, Diane Nesmith, Zara King, Venus Johnson, Wanda Joyner, Trevor Batts, A.K. Cooper, Martell Joyner, Lisa Monroe,    Keisha Atkinson, Derrick Joyner and Zenobia Smith; special caretakers and friends, Rev.
