Shirley Jean Reid Obituary

Ms. Shirley Jean Reid, 75, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 p..m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at The Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1601 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.

Shirley was preceded in death by: her mother, Alice Lee Reid; and her brother, James “Penny” Exum.

Left to cherish precious memories are: two daughters, Lovey Imonti of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Angela Parker (James) of Goldsboro, North Carolina; one son, Garland McCray King, III of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Ashley Imonti, Kenya Imonti, Justin Parker, and Jamil Parker; one sister, Pastor Ida Hamilton of Wilson, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Magdalene Exum of Dudley, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home,1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
