Funeral service for Ms. Savannah Ann Harris, 71, of 121 Boswell Street, Wilson, NC, will be held Sunday, May 31, 2020, 1:00 pm at Barnes Chapel Church, 1004 Railroad Street, Wilson, NC. Pastor Steven Kent will deliver the Words of Comfort. The burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Ext. Wilson, NC.
A public visitation for Ms. Harris will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
Preceding her in death were: her parents, Frances R. Harris and James H. Melton; two sisters, Deloris Lucas and Yvonne Melton; one brother, James H. Melton and one aunt, Ezzie D. Banks and granddaughter, Savannah G. Jones.
Her loving heart will forever be cherished by: daughter Tammy Reynolds; four sons, Kurt Harris, Lamark Harris, Gregory Melton, and Jerry Melton; life partner of 52 years, Willie Lee Elliot; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shepard Parker and Annie Rogers; two brothers, John Artis and Fredrick Liles; two aunts, Beverly Mitchell and Bert Melton; three uncles, Steve Robinson, Lewis Harris (June), and Henry Melton; her godmother, Ms. Jerome Boykin and a host of other relatives and many loving friends.
