Sadie Marie "BAP" Joyner Obituary

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, June 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.  Bishop George Atkinson will officiate and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.  The family will meet at Stevens Funeral Home on Sunday between 1:30 and 1:45 in preparation for the funeral service.

Mrs. Joyner was preceded in death by her father, William Henry Powell.

She is survived by:  her husband, William Joyner of Wilson; two sons, Michael Kelly and Darius Joyner (Katrina), both of Wilson, NC; four grandchildren, Chase Herring, Joshua Davis, Jala Tyson Kelly and Xaiya Bynum; her mother, Fannie Lee Atkinson-Powell of the home; three sisters, Deborah Moore (Lee) and Betty Jenkins (Ervin), both of Wilson, NC and Cynthia Powell of the home; two brothers, Danny Kelly of the home and William Powell, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; one aunt, Annie Doris Jones of Philadelphia, PA; one uncle, Bishop George Atkinson (Gloria) of Wilson, NC; four sisters-in-law, Peggy Joyner (Thomas), Pamela Spells (Ricky), Gwendolyn Allen and Brenda Taylor, all of Wilson, NC; two brothers-in-law, George Taylor, III of Wilson, NC and Michael Taylor of Fayetteville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including a special friend, Mary P. of Wilson, NC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
