Rubin Artis, Jr.

Mr. Rubin Artis, Jr., 76, of Wilson, NC, passed away on March 26, 2021, at Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral services scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 31, 2021, from 3:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Preceding him in death were: his granddaughter, Kenya S. Barnes and his father, Reubin Artis Sr.

Left to cherish his precious memories are: his wife, Margaret Candies- Artis;  two sons, Andre Artis (Cathy) of Chesterfield VA, and Randy E. Artis of The Dominican   Republic; four daughters, Sheerlene Artis-Carlton (Bobby) of Zebulon NC, Keba Wynn Bolden (Michael) of Durham, NC, Mysha Wynn of Rocky Mount, NC, and Tameka    Harrison-Walker (Steve) of Rocky Mount, NC; his loving mother, Margie B. Artis; five brothers, Wesley D. Artis (Sheila), and Keith W. Artis (Geraldine), both of Wilson , NC, Richard L.   Artis (Alether) of Durham, NC, Maurice Artis (Yvonne) of Chattanooga, TN, and Eric A. Artis of Rocky Mount, NC; five sisters, Emma. J. Clark of Wilson, NC, Ernestine Young (David) of Portsmouth, VA, Rose M. Sommerville (Donnell) of Suffolk, VA,  Betty D. Jones of Raleigh, NC, and Phyllis A. Pope (Jacque) of Hampton, VA; seven grandchildren, Justin Artis, Jared Artis, Jada Artis, all of Chesterfield VA, Tanesha Artis of District Heights, MD, Sierra Richie of Dallas, TX, Terrell Artis of Centerville, VA, Cequari Wynn of Rocky Mount, NC; Kiera Cook of Durham, NC; three great grandchildren, Makenzy Artis, Kassidy Wynn, Karmela Wynn, and a host of nieces and  nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
