Randolph "Randy" Cotton Obituary

Mr. Randolph "Randy" Cotton, 52, of San Diego, CA, formerly of Wilson, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.

The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2020 at 12:00 noon at L.N. Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.  Pastor Nate Stewart of Greater Life Church, San Diego, CA will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.

The family will meet at the home of his mother, Oneida Jenkins, 3006 Falling Maple Drive, NW, Wilson, NC and will also assemble there on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.

A public visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

"Randy" as he is affectionately known by family and friends was preceded in death by:  his father, Raymond Cotton and his brother, Raymond Cotton, Jr.

He leaves a legacy of love and devotion to:  his wife, Pearlie Blackmon Cotton of San Diego, CA; three sons, Captain Joshua Jermaine Cotton (Captain Amirah Cotton) of Ft. Jackson, SC, Dahkwon Feagin of Alabama and Sammie Blackmon, Jr. (Erisa) of San Diego, CA; four daughters, Tenesia Eatmon of Wilson, NC, Rene Cotton of Elizabeth City, NC, Quannah Hamilton of Willard, OH and Ambria Blackmon of San Diego, CA; eleven grandchildren; his mother, Oneida Jenkins of Wilson, NC; one sister, Brenda Smith of Rocky Mount, NC; one brother, Milton Earl Cotton of Wilson, NC; one foster brother, Tyrone Webb of Wilson, NC; two foster sisters, Ada Hill of Wilson, NC and Waneida Anderson of Lucama, NC; two uncles, Jimmie Lee Webb of Wilson, NC and Levi Webb of Rocky Mount, NC; three aunts, Sheila Webb of Wilson, NC, Gloria Pender (Archie), both of Wilson, NC and Santa Tyson of New Jersey; his mother-in-law, Emily Gant; two sisters-in-law, Julie Gant and Jeanette Green (George); four brothers-in-law, Jimmy Gant (Shirley), Stevie Gant (Verna), Tony Gant (Patricia) and Terry Gant (Sherry); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including a very special friend, Eric Howard and two God-daughters, Melody Gooden and Nikaya Jackson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
