Paulette Stephens

Ms. Paulette Stephens, 71, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Charlotte, NC.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 26, 2021, 12:00 noon at Flat Rock Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 6730 Flat Rock Church Rd, Sims, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her sisters, Nora Kurney, Diane Kurney Brathwaite, and Dorene Kurney; and her   brothers, William Arthur Kurney and Larry Donnell Kurney.

Loving and lasting memories are cherished by: her husband Roland Stephens, of Columbia, SC; two daughters Erica Meggett (James) of  Harrisburg, NC and Rachelle Nixon (Telfair) of Blythewood, SC; one step-daughter, Yolanda Milligan of Elgin, SC; three grandchildren, Timothy  Nixon, Christina Nixon and Telfair Nixon the VI; three sisters, Dorelene Kurney of Black Creek, NC, Teresa Kurney of Sims, NC and Margie    Whitley (Sam) of San Diego, CA; three brothers James  Kurney (Valda) of Brooklyn, NY, Stanley Kurney of Knightdale, NC and George Kurney of Lucama, NC; two aunts Oralee Farmer of Marlboro Heights, MD and Daisy Darden (Charlie) of Elm City, NC; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Shepherd of Columbia, SC and Aricue Sargent of New York City; a host of other relatives and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
