Mother Annie Sherrod Obituary

Mother Annie Sherrod, 92, of Wilson, NC passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025.  

The funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Evening Light Holiness Church, 208 Pender Street, Wilson, NC.  Pastor Jewel Lee will officiate.  The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes St., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm, with a reflection service to follow from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

She is preceded in death by husband Jack Sherrod and grandson Master Stevie Meeks, Jr.

She leaves fond memories to her five children, Edna Meeks Thomas of Lorton, Va., Cathy Meeks Jones of Whitakers, NC, Stanley Meeks (Juanita) of Wilson, NC. Stevie Meeks of Washington, DC, Jeffery Meeks (Michelle) of Wilson, NC; nine grandchildren, Anthony Hopkins Jr., Javaros, Jerome, and Jasmine Thomas, Tiffany, Christopher, Jeffery, and Amber Meeks, and Latrease Manigault; 16 great grandchildren two siblings Janice Pope (George) of Capitol Heights, Md and Ronnie Dixon of Wilson, NC.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
