Ms. Mittie Carlene Sherard Powell, 84, of Charlotte, NC transitioned from labor to reward on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, NC.
A celebration of her life and legacy will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Shiloh Christian Church, 211 Durham Street, Smithfield, North Carolina. Reverend Dr. Amy Ciceron will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Sherard Family Cemetery, Selma, North Carolina.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 11:00 am until 11:45 pm prior to the service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
