Mr. Mitchell Ervin Dixon, Jr., 43, of 180 Jasper Jones Rd., Gaston, NC, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021, at L.N. Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC. Pastor Anthony Mitchell will deliver the Words of Comfort. The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.

The public walk-through is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Ervin was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Mozella Dixon and grandfather, Bobby King.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, Alexus Nicole Dixon and Taliyah LaShaun Dixon of Wilson, NC, and Jamaya NyShae Dixon of Greenville, NC; his parents, Mitchell Ervin Dixon, Sr. (Michelle) and Ruby King Dixon both of    Wilson; Sisters, Michelle Dixon Chatman (Kenneth) of Wilson, NC, Nekita Boston (Demestrius) of Macclesfields, NC and  Kimberly Joyner (Kevin) of Greenville, NC; two brothers,    Riccardo King of Baltimore, MD and Omar Morgan of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren, Ja’Keyah Nicole Horne, Saiyan  Thomas Horne and Marleigh Chanel Horne all of Wilson, NC; grandparents, Jean King of Wilson, NC and Johnnie Dixon of Kinston, NC;  two aunts, Myra Poole (Willis) and Allene King both of Kinston, NC; one uncle, Ronald Howard of Anchorage, Alaska; his girlfriend, Tomekia Mason of Gaston, NC; a host of extended family including nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
