Ms. Mavis J. Smith, 76, of Wilson, NC, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Hunterhill Nursing and Rehab Center in Rocky Mount, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
A public visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2020, from 3:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home.
Preceding her in death were: her husband of 47 years, Richard E. Smith and her parents, Alfonzso Pone and Redelphia Lucas Pone.
Left to cherish fond memories are: one son, Earl L. Smith (Shauna); four grandchildren, Chelsea Smith, Alana Smith, Amarriah Smith and Xavier Allen; one great grandson, Jayden Moon; three sisters, Pollie Witherspoon of Baltimore, MD, Lollie Pone and Gloria Harris, both of Wilson, NC; one brother, Roy Pone (Anne), and a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many loving friends.
