Mrs. Mary Gray Coleman, 80, of 7608 Piney Grove Church Road, Stantonsburg, NC, passed away on February 18, 2020 at her home.
The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Evening Light Holiness Church, 208 S. Pender Street, Wilson, NC.Pastor Caroll Strickland will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.
A public visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Troy Lee Coleman; parents, Maggie Ward and Thomas Barnes; five brothers, Frank Barnes, David Barnes, Johnie Barnes, Rennie Barnes and Vernon Barnes; five sisters, Catherine Battle, Alma Brooke, Ruth Mae Hooker, Barbara Jean Smith, and Ollie Mae Barnes.
She leaves cherished memories to: two daughters, Minister Mary Frieson of the home and Mary Frances Coleman of Wilson, NC; two sons, Harvin Earl Barnes (Diane) and Charles Ray Barnes, both of Wilson, NC; seven grandchildren, Travis Barnes, Thomas Lee Frieson Jr.(Kaci), Brittany Frieson, Mindy Ruffin, Donesha Ruffin, Deron Ruffin and Henry Ruffin; thirteen grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Minnie Crudup of Lucama, NC, Jessie Terrell, Neva Curry, and Gloria Terrell all of Wilson, NC; two brothers-in-law, Steven Coleman (Barbara Ann) and Henry Coleman both of Lucama, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
