Mary Elizabeth Melton, 87, of Goldsboro NC transitioned from labor to reward on January 5, 2026.  

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.  

Pastor Gwen Council will deliver the eulogy and Overseer Juanita Leach will preside.

The public viewing will be on Saturday, January 17, 2026 prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  The family will meet at Stevens Funeral Home on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 10:45 a.m. in preparation for the funeral service.  

The burial is scheduled for Monday, January 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 S. US 117, Dudley, NC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
