Mary Elizabeth Batts

Ms. Mary Elizabeth Batts, 94, of 3721 Ashbrook Drive Northwest, Wilson, NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home, located at 1820 Martin Luther King Jr., Parkway, Wilson, NC. Due to the requirements of the Governor's Executive Order regarding the number of people in a funeral service, the funeral service will be private.

A public walk-through has been scheduled for Friday, Mary 15, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr., Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Preceding Mary in death were: her husband, Lee Roosevelt Batts; her parents Sam and Beulah Wright and two siblings, Rita Wright Roberts and     Robert Wright.

 Her loving heart will forever be cherished by:  six sons, Freddie Wright (Sharon), Jimmie Batts, Ricky Batts, (Valerie), Lee Batts, Jr., Felix Batts (Evangeline) and Darrell Batts (Jessica);  four daughters, Mary W. Alston (Plummer), Van J. Bryant (Toney), Covair Batts and Allison D. Dickens (Bernard); twenty-two grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law who was special to her, Velencia Batts; two sisters-in-law, Mattie Wright and Lucille Batts-Lane; several cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr., Parkway, Wilson, NC.
