Ms. Mary Cotton Wilson, 84, of Wilson, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Wilson Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC. Bishop Ernestine McGee will officiate and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC 27893.
The public walk-through is scheduled for Friday, February 19, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Thomas W. Wilson; her parents, Hilliard "Dock" Cotton and Phoebe Britton Cotton; her brothers, Rev. John H. Cotton, Alvester "Sack" Cotton, and James E. Cotton; her two sisters, Ella Mae Cotton Bryant and Geneva E. Cotton Jackson; nephew, Rev. Eric Cotton and grandson in-love, Maurice Stevens.
Mary leaves to celebrate her life: one son, Gregory J. Cotton of Roanoke Rapids, NC; one daughter, Tonya Wilson Barnes of Wilson, NC; one daughter-in-love, Linda Jones (Robert) of Lithia Springs, GA; four grandsons, Marlon Johnson of Naperville, IL, Kesharin Wilson of Raleigh, NC, Kiear Cotton of Fayetteville, NC, and Dennis Croom of Los Angeles, CA; two grand-daughters, Brandi Williams of Wilson, NC and Lisa Coffman of Silver Spring, MD; five great-grandchildren; Mason J., Madison, Mariah, Mason W., and Morgan; one sister, Elder Gloria Cotton Carter of Wilson, NC; five nieces, Rossetta Jackson, Karen Mays, Vivian Almond, Sharice McNeil, and Elder Yolanda Day; three nephews, Reginald Bryant, Keith Bryant, and Kimothy Bryant; one sister-in-law, Verna R. Cotton; four daughters of the heart; Loretta McGhee, Jacqueline Ward-Moore, Charlene Knight Harris and Arlendia Faye Winstead; a host of cousins, other relatives, the Faith Temple UHC Family and countless friends.
