Ms. Mary Beckwith Privette, 85, of 5313 Mink Road, Wilson, NC, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at her home.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Rhema Word Christian Center, 1503 Black Creek Road, SE., Wilson, NC. Bishop Sherman Blandon will officiate and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there at 12 noon on Saturday for the funeral procession.
Mrs. Privette was preceded in death by: her husband, Claude Privette; her daughter, Terry Beckwith-McGuire; her parents, Clin Beckwith and Lucy Hasting Beckwith; and her siblings, Tony Beckwith, Clarence Beckwith, John Beckwith, Jack Beckwith, Hazel Lucas, Mazelle Beckwith, Jim Beckwith and Susan Pettiway.
She leaves loving memories to: two daughters, Towanda R. Stroble and Alice Higgs, both of Wilson, NC; seven grandchildren, Aliciana Stroble (Rashaad Terrell), Tyrone Stroble, Jared Beckwith, Detrice Higgs, and Olanda Higgs, all of Wilson, NC, Alex Higgs of Denver, CO and Bobby McGuire, Jr. of Rocky Mount, NC; eight great-grandchildren, Ayden, Lauren, Aeriona, So'Naria, Alaysia, Simone, Dominique, Jr., and Malicihi; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.
