Mary Revell

Funeral services for Ms. Mary Revell, 97, will be held Monday, April 19, 2021 beginning at 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.  

Mrs. Revel was born  May 26, 1923, to Dread Speight Sr. and Naomi Barnes.  She was called from labor to reward on April 11, 2021, while a resident of Trinity Retirement Villa in Nashville, NC.

Mary received her formal education with the Wilson County Public School System.  Following her formal education, she entered the workforce.  She remained gainfully employed until the age of 85 as a cook at Storming Norman Truck Stop.  

She loved the simple things in life; cooking, Parkers fried chicken, her animals, and hearing good preaching and singing.  Mary also loved gardening.

Mary is survived by: one brother, Dread Speight Jr.; one sister, Emma Jean Wells, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A public visitation will be held Monday, April 19, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Pkwy, Wilson, NC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
