Mary Barnes

Ms. Mary Barnes, 75, of Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilson,  passed away on August 4, 2018.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at LN Forbes OFWB  Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street, Ext.  Wilson, NC, Pastor Annie Perry will deliver the eulogy.

Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC with an inspirational wake service beginning at 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home.

  Mother Barnes was preceded in death by: her husband, George D. Barnes; two daughters, Linda Carol Barnes and Linda Faye Barnes; grandson, Desmond Jones; her parents, Kermit Bynum and Mary Bynum; her brother, Thurman H. Bynum; her grandmother, Bessie Simms.

She leaves many cherished memories to: three sons, George Daniel Barnes, Kenny Ray Barnes (Lori) and William Henry Barnes (JoAnne); five daughters, Serita Bynum, Janice Jones (Ray), Joyce Anderson, Deloise Watson (Roy) and Judy Watson (Bennett); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three sisters, Minnie Barnes, Josephine Wilson and      Thadius Pearl Artis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,   other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
