Martez Terrell Barnes

Mr. Martez Terrell Barnes, 35, of Wilson, NC, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Contending for The Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, NC.  The burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.  

A public visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy. Wilson, NC.  At other times the family will be receiving friends at 614 Academy Street E., Wilson, NC.

Preceding him in death were: his grandparents, Jesse Barnes Thayin Barnes and Joseph Anderson.

Cherished and wonderful memories are left to: his twelve children, Martasia Miracle, Kentrell, Demajae, Markhi, Maravez, Zaiden, London Marie, Kyle and Kyle, Savion and Saniy; his parents, Anne Barnes and Tony Hargett; two brothers, tony Himes (Terrica) and Daron Hester; four sisters, Talisa Hones, Tiffany Hines, Kimberly Chancey and Tenika Hines; his grandmother, Jackie Anderson; fifteen nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; three uncles, Jesse Barnes, Jr. (Carrie), Eric Barnes and Howard lee Barnes; two aunts, Angela Barnes and Felicia Barnes; a host of cousin including special cousins, Kendrick Barnes and Quail Swinson, other family members and many devoted friends, including four special friends, Brandon Dew, Sequoyah Mitchell, Demetrius Harris and Antrell Anderson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr., Pkwy, Wilson, NC, 27893.
