Mrs. Marian Louise Winstead Bynum, 82 of 2206 Tunstall Place SW, Wilson, NC passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, NC. Bishop Willie Thomas will deliver the eulogy; burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Gardens, Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.
A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 27, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
Marian was preceded in death by: her husband of 33 years, Willie Lee Bynum; daughter, Phyllis Annette Bynum Mitchell; grandson, Milton Ray Mitchell Jr.; her parents, Marion and Annie Winstead; her in-laws, Charlie and Lizzie Bynum; 11 siblings, Louis Jenkins, Ollie Mae Pope " Whom raised her", Gracie Behlin, Elizabeth Winstead, Elijah Winstead, Robert Lee Winstead, Arthur James Winstead, Jason Winstead, William Darnell Winstead, Yvonne (Hattie) Latimer and Nanette Elliot; in-laws that were like sisters and brothers, David Pope " Who raised her", Mamie Mitchell, Betty Mae Bynum, Charlie Bynum Jr., Helen Wiggins, James Bynum, Ruby Jean Barrett and Albert Roy Bynum.
Marian leaves her precious memories to: her daughters, Janet Shaquilla Bynum of Durham, NC, Sabrina Carron Pate (Charles) and Ronda Renee Bynum, both of Wilson, NC; grandchildren, Daneika Shontell Bynum of Durham, NC, Kedran Lamont Bynum of Durham, NC, Christy Shontell Mitchell of Wilson, NC, Brittany Carron Bynum of Durham, NC, Brionna Charlez Pate and Donte LeeMar Bynum, both of Wilson, NC; great grandchildren, Jaquan Barnes of Wilson, NC, De’Mauri Marleek Bynum, Jayce Alexander Livingston and Kaelyn Lanee’ Bynum, all of Durham, NC; sisters, Fannie Etheridge, Sarah Hargrove, Beverly Winstead, LaBarbara Sheed and Vanessa Winstead; one brother, Miles Winstead; sisters-in-law that were like sisters, Lucy Gardner and Catherine Hannah, both of Wilson, NC, Mary Brown (Floyd) and Carolyn Pender, both of Hampton, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; two special sons-in-law, Charles Pate Jr. and Milton Mitchell. Caregivers were her daughters and grand- children. PROTECTOR OF THE HOUSE WAS THE DOG MAXI!!!!
