Lucy Mae McCray Barnes

Ms. Lucy Mae McCray Barnes, 65, of 403 College Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at her home.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Rest Haven Cemetery on Bishop LN Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.

A public walk-through visitation will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Ms. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents: Jerry McCray and Blonnie Baldwin McCray.

She leaves loving memories to: three sons, Anthony Barnes (Edith) of Wilson, NC, Lonnie Barnes of Atlanta, GA and James Barnes, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Iyania Barnes, Jamaal Barnes, Aaron Neal, Eionnol Barnes and Eionna Barnes; three sisters, Mary Edwards of Philadelphia, Vivian Chestnut and Linda Pender, both of Wilson, NC; four brothers, Jerry McCray (Liz) of Florida, Gary McCray of Wilson, NC, Charles McCray of Charlotte, NC and Reginald McCray of Jacksonville, NC; her former husband and friend, James Barnes; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including very special friends, Elaine Harrison, who was like a sister to her and Vincent Smith.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
