Lucille White Rountree

Mrs. Lucille White Rountree, 91, of 1326 Atlantic Street, Wilson, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at Laconia Nursing Home in Bronx, New York.

The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, April 8, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at L. N. Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1801 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC. 

A public walk-through is scheduled for Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.  Rev. Roger Randall will officiate and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mrs. Rountree was preceded in death by:  her husband, Herbert Rountree, Jr.; her parents, George White and Jane Perry White; three brothers, George White, Hampton E. White and William H. White; and two sisters, Elsie Skinner and Marquerite Nellis.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two sons, William "Bill" Sutton (Patricia) of Wilson, NC and Baaree Saleem (Naimah) of Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Evonne Cameron of Bronx, NY; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; two step-great great-grandchildren; one sister, Madie L. Smith of Louisburg, NC; two brothers-in-law, Tommie Lee Staton and Jesse Rountree (Inez); one sister-in-law, Shirley White; her god-daughter, Annette Herring; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina, 27893.
