Lonnie Gray Best

Mr. Lonnie Gray Best, 74, of Wilson, NC, passed away on March 14, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway,  Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home, 

Mr. Best was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Best and Mattie Mae Nicholson Best Pope; one sister, Cynthia Fitz and two brothers, Charles Best and Paul Best.

He leaves cherished memories to: one son, Anthony LaMont Best (Jewel) of Ohio; four daughters, Sophia Fate (David, Jr.) and Wanda Faye Best both of Wilson, NC, Bridget Best Williams (Robert) of Rocky Mount, NC and Lonitta Gabrielle Best of Michigan; nine grandchildren, Travis Best, Robert Williams, Brandon Parks, Samisha Parks, A J Hines, Bria Williams, Lanea Bowers, Anthony Best, II and Zoe Best; three great grandchildren; one sister, Lydia Faye Best (Dennis) of Greenville, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
