Mr. Lonnie Applewhite Jr., 79, of 604 Sycamore Street, Wilson, North Carolina peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on February 21, 2019 at Arista Care in South Plainfield, NJ. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, March 3, 2019 at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Church, 1800 Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC and will begin at 2:30 pm. Bishop J.N. Perry will deliver the Eulogy. The committal services will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery immediately following the Celebration of Life.
Among his many survivors, Mr. Applewhite leaves precious memories to his loving and devoted wife, Shirley Ann Applewhite of the home.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.
