Mrs. Lennese Dixon Barnes, 58, of 1803 McLamb Circle, Wilson, NC, passed away on February 23, 2020.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 11:00 am at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Pastor Pearlie Bynum will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Elmo Richardson and Sylvia Dixon Parrish.
She leaves cherished memories to: her husband, Vernell Barnes, Sr. of the home; one son, Vernell Barnes, Jr. of the home; one daughter, Danielle Howell of the home; three grandchildren, Zariya Howell and Zameir Howell both of the home and Kyndrick Barnes of Wilson, NC; six sisters, Donna Dixon, Janie Dixon, Eva Boykin, Van Jackson (Calvin) Brenda Richardson and Jean Davis all of Wilson, NC; five brothers, Theodore Richardson (Patricia), Walter Richardson (Linda), Waddell Richardson (Natasha) Rodney Richardson (Katie) all of Wilson, NC and James Richardson (Doris) of Greenville, NC; three sisters-in-law, Sandra Briscoe, Carolyn Myers (Edward) and Roxanne Breaux; four brothers-in-law, Bruce Barnes, Terrance Barnes, Kevin Barnes and Keith Barnes; special friends, Angela Dupree Wells, Laverne Gibson, Judy Jones, Wanda Battle and Latrina Rountree; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends including, a special niece, Nwenna Dixon and three special nephews, Kwasi Dixon, Dalton Dixon and Victor "Little Vic" Dixon.
