Leland Thomas Lucas

Mr. Leland Thomas Lucas, 49, of 4006 Eclipse Way, Wilson, NC, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 1:30 pm, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.  The committal service will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.  Bishop Anthony Terrell will deliver the Words of Comfort.

A public visitation will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.  At other times, the family will be receiving friends at 4006 Eclipse Way, Wilson NC.

Cherished memories are left to: his two sons, Leland Thomas Lucas, Jr. and Aaron Tyler Lucas, both of Wilson, NC; his mother, Reverend Carolyn Wilkins Lucas of Raleigh, NC; his father, Leland Ray Lucas (Joan) of Wilson, NC; his brother, Toby L. Lucas (Jenea) of Wilson, NC; a special caretaker who became a second mom to him while he resided at the Brian Center, Mrs. Charity Cowan; a lifelong friend, Ms. Tammy Evans (Lucas) of Wilson, NC; Leland is also blessed with a host of special aunts, uncles,  nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly and faithfully supported him throughout his illness.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home,1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
