Kirby Junior McKiver Obituary

Mr. Kirby Junior McKiver, 66, of 2770 Indian Springs Road, Seven Springs, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro, NC. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Smith Chapel FWB Church, 713 Pineview Cemetery Road, Mt. Olive, NC at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Antonio Blow will officiate and burial will follow in Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Rd., Goldsboro, NC.

The public viewing will be held Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. at McIntyre Funeral Home, 1215 Royall Avenue, Goldsboro, NC with the family meeting and greeting friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Kirby was preceded in death by: his parents, Cleo McDowell and Mattie Mae McKiver Sykes and one brother, Leo Sykes.

He leaves many precious memories to: his wife, Millie Jean McKiver of the home; two daughters, Lakeisha Gardner and husband, Michael Glenn, of Columbia, SC and Tameka Lee and husband, Craig, of Dudley, NC; two grandchildren, Makayla Gardner and Amaya Gardner of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Onie Sykes and Penny Sykes, both of Newark, NJ; five brothers, Warren McKiver and wife, Patricia, of Albertson, NC, Jesse Sykes of Seven Springs, NC, Donnell Sykes, Chris Sykes and Joseph Sykes, all of New Jersey; four aunts, Janie Blue of Dudley, NC, Joyce Lacey of New Jersey, Ethel Carol Jones and husband, Thurman, of Mt. Olive, NC and Tamar McKiver; one uncle, Willie McKiver of Pink Hill, NC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Dorothy James of Seven Springs, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and other relatives and friends.

Floral arrangements may be sent to McIntyre Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. or to Stevens Funeral Home anytime on Monday or Tuesday until 6:00 p.m.
