Joseph Harris

Mr. Joseph Harris, 60, of 1518 Branch Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on August 22, 2019 at his home.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Pastor Gail Speight will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home. 

Mr. Harris was preceded in death by: his parents, Joseph Williams and Nancy Jenkins Harris; two sisters, Shirley Speight and Josephine Hanyon; four brothers, James Earl Harris, David Lee Harris, Willie J. Harris and Roychester Harris.

He leaves many cherished memories to: his wife, Kim Hester Harris of the home; one son, Kevin Devon Eason of Rock Hill, SC; three daughters, Wynter Hester-Edwards (Manu), Sonja Hester of the home and Nicole Hester-Younes (Zouhair) of Bailey, NC; eleven grandchildren; three sisters, Royce Jean Lucas and Charlene Archibald (Dennis) both of Wilson, NC and Delores Harris of Rocky Mount, NC; two brothers, Eddie Harris (Sylvia) and George Harris (Sylvia) both of Wilson, NC; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Melvin Riley, Sr. and Luvenia Riley of Wilson, NC; four sisters-in-law, Jean Carol Harris, Onna Mae Harris and April Riley all of Wilson, NC and Dionne Riley of East Northport NY; two brothers-in-law, Carlyle Hanyon and Melvin Riley, Jr. (Denise) both of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
