Joanne Mitchell

Ms. Joanne Mitchell, 89, of 3501 Senior Village Lane, Wilson, NC, passed away on April 21, 2022 at Wilson Assisted Living.

The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC.  The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L. N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.  The family will meet at Stevens Funeral Home between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. in preparation for the funeral service.

Ms. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Mitchell; one daughter, Yvonne Mitchell McCrae; her parents, James Eason and Josephine Fusco; four siblings, Mack Eason, Robert Eason, Barbara Lee Harris and Jacqueline Pryce; and her paternal grandmother, Nancy Eason.

She leaves loving and precious memories to: two sons, Robert P. Mitchell of Philadelphia, PA and Thomas S. Mitchell (Jacqueline) of East Orange, NJ; one daughter, Donna N. Thornton of Raleigh, NC; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Audrey Eason of Fredericksburg, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
