Mr. Jermaine Ray Lucas, 48, of 1324 Carolina Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at L.N. Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC. Pastor Corey Thomas will deliver the Words of Comfort. The burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.
The public walk-through is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
Preceding Jermaine in death were: his parents, Christine Lucas and Billy Ray Locus.
Precious memories are left to: six children, Jermaine Lucas (Shaneisa), Tierra Lucas, Justice Lucas, Ja’Kia Lucas, Ta’Mia Lucas and Raygen Lucas; five grandchildren, Zyaire Lucas, Amari Lucas, Nasir Lucas, Kyree Lucas and Mikel Lucas; step dad, Steven Bailey; nine sisters, Freda Powell (Terry), Teresa Lucas, Wanda Locus (Robert), Tonchelle Lucas, Judy Melvin, Jackie McKray, Donna Wilson, Sandra Bowens and Barbara Bowens; six brothers, De’Sean McNair (Angel), Billie Locus, Stanley Locus, Ron Locus (Crystal), Patrick Highsmith and Drell Webb; nine nieces and nephews, Dennis (Latisha), Amate, Conswella, Christy, Indya, William, Luchrisha, Clinton and Elbony; seven aunts, Diana Tucker (Phillip), Ernestine Battle (Jeffery), Mary Melvin, Joyce Batts, Inez Grant, Dorothy Batts, Helen Jackson, Phyllis Rogers and Josephine Robinson; five uncles, Robert McLaurin (Faye), Dennis McLaurin AC Batts, Charles Batts and special uncle, Percy Batts (Ann); a host of cousins, including two special cousins, Denise and Ricky, other relatives and many devoted friends.
