Mrs. Jean Barnes, 72, of Fredericksburg, VA, formerly of Wilson, NC passed on August 31, 2020, while a patient at Chippenham Hospital, Richmond, VA. A graveside is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2020, at 1:00 pm at Rest Haven Cemetery located on Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.
Preceding her in death were: her parents, Luby Gene Gray, Sr. and Jessie Lee Gray; two brothers, Roger and Billy Ray Gray.
She leaves behind many loving and happy memories which will forever be cherished by her children; Pamela Taylor of Fredericksburg, Va., Dexter Barnes of Fredericksburg, VA., Chief Stanfon Barnes, U.S. Navy (RET) of Virginia Beach, Va. and Kristy Pleasants of Wilson, NC; grandchildren; Kameron Gray-Harold, Tia Coffin, Shanice Barnes and Erin Pleasants, one great-grand child, Savion Fields. Brothers; Luby Gray Jr., Donnell Gray (Joyce), Douglas Gray Sr. all of Wilson NC and Wayne Derek Martin (Valorie) of Littleton, NC. Sisters; Sharron Jones and Trina Sherrod of Wilson, NC; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues and students of UMW.
