Janice Hinnant

Ms. Janice Hinnant, 80, of 1012 College Circle North, Wilson, NC, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for  1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Contending For The Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street SE, Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, 1717 Bishop L.N. Forbes Street, Wilson, NC.

A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 22, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mother Hinnant leaves to cherish her memories: six children: Iris Jean Hinnant of the home, Brenda Alston of Princeton, NC, Bessie Arlene Locus (Apostle Ricky) of Wilson, NC, Barbara Lynn Taylor (Ronnie) of Wilson, NC, Kevin Eugene Hinnant, Sr. (Laura) of Belzoni, MS and Kendrick Leon Hinnant (Andrea) of Wilson, NC; 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Julia Yelverton (William) of Newport News, VA, Sallie Hines of Columbia, MD, Ernestine Randolph (Ross) of Willingsboro, NJ, Boris Lipscomb (Che) of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother: Jasper Worelds (Carrie) of Queens, NY; three brothers-in-law: Robert Hinnant (Loretta), Rocky Mount, NC, Thurman Hinnant (Elizabeth) of Spring Hope, NC, John Kornegay of Fremont, NC; four sisters-in-law: Linda Smith (Danny) of Nashville, NC, Helen Hughes of Wilson, NC, Linda Hinnant of Spring Hope, NC and Marie Hinnant of Spring Hope, NC, two aunts: Minnie Mathis of New York and Naomi Kent of Nashville, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and her City of Refuge of NC Church Family. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
