James Eric Wright

Mr. James Eric Wright, 73, of 2222 Fieldcrest Road, Wilson NC, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021, at his home.

The funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy  Street, Wilson, NC.

A public walk-through is scheduled for Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway, Wilson, NC.

James was preceded in death by: his parents, James Daniels and Sudie Mae Reid Wright and his sister Otealia Hobbs.

James leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 35 years, Christine Wright of the home; daughters; Erica Wright of Durham, NC, Jamie Wright Harris (Garrison), Melanie Ward, Crystal Ward  Precious Bynum (Dominic) all of Wilson, NC; two brothers, Charles Wright (Anita) of Hephzibah, GA and Bobby Daniels (Tee) of Nashville, TN; sixteen grandchildren; Brandon, Brianna, Braxton, Abria, Christopher, MeKailya, Garritt, Kiersten, Kaitlyn, Kennedy, Kahleb, Gavin, Kaison, Grayson, Mayson, and Marlee; one uncle, Troy Reid of Wilson, NC; mother-in-law, Mary McNair of Macclesfield, NC; two sisters-in-law; Mary Thornhill of Raleigh, NC and Janice McNair of Macclesfield, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a Special brotherhood affectionally known as “The Wednesday Club”: Leroy Barnes, Sammie Dew, Vernon “Tap” Hardy, Lenwood Spells, David Fate, Donald Ham, and Arthur Gaskins
