Mr. James Douglas Thorne, Sr., affectionately known as “Doug”, 81, of Greensboro, NC, formerly of Wilson, NC, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025.

He was the son of the late Mark and Macordia Ellis Thorne. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Mt Zion Baptist Church, Alamance Church Rd, Greensboro, NC, at 12:30 p.m.  A public visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service.
