Mr. James Carter Alston, of 103 Dewey Street SW, Wilson, NC, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Apostle Beverly and Pastor Peter Uwodi will deliver the words of comfort. The burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, 1603 Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.
A public walk-through visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
Along with his loving wife, Sandra Alston, he was preceded in death by: his parents, Jimmie Anderson and Mattie Pearl Alston and two brothers, Joseph Anderson and Melvin Anderson.
Left to cherish his loving memories are: five daughters, Lisa Dublin, Lakisha Sutton, Waneida Anderson, Ada Anderson and Anicher Dublin; ten grandsons, Se’Corey Gray, Kelly Graham, Jr., Tyrek Dublin, Jah’Quel Jefferson, Corey Hill, Jr., Savy’on Hill, Devonta Best, Ty’Quavious Anderson, Hykeem Horne and Zy’Keise Hagans; five granddaughters, Jabrea Jefferson, Zykira Dublin, Bettianna Pasley, Jah’Nasia Hill and Kel’Niya Anderson; two great granddaughters, Zoey Gray and Brielle Moore; one great grandson, Zaylen Wells; one sister, Betty Anderson; two brothers, Jeffrey Anderson and Richard Anderson; four sisters-in-law, Loretta Moore (Earl), Carolyn Dublin , Michelle Lacey (Gary) and Princess Best (Stanley); two brothers-in-law, Michael Moore (Angela), Dwight Dublin (Camilla) and Samuel Dublin; three uncles, Charlie Taylor (Jeraldine), Connie Taylor, Jr. and Constant Wright; two aunts, Mattie Allen (Curtis) and Bettie Renfrow; special cousin and god-mother, Nina L. Brown; special friends, Larry Jones, Billy Bissette and Charlie Hodge; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
