Irene Vines Brown

Mrs. Irene Vines Brown, 95, of 812 Leggett Road, Rocky Mount, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mount, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 29, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Morning Star Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 225 S. Glendale Drive, Rocky Mount, NC.  The family will meet and greet friends for a public viewing prior to the service on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 12:50 p.m.  The burial will follow at Northeastern Cemetery, 12 E. Virginia Street, Rocky Mount, NC immediately following the funeral service.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by:  her husband, Moses Brown, Sr.; her parents, Frank Weaver and George Anna Jenkins Vines; and ten siblings, George Jenkins, Nathan Jenkins, Estella Bradley, Luevenia Vines, Frank Vines, Elijah Vines, Mac Miller Jenkins, Maggie Parham, Bertha Chance and John Henry Atkinson.

She leaves many loving and cherished memories to: three sons, Moses Brown, Jr. and wife, Linda, of Rocky Mount, NC, Terry Brown of the home and Frank Daniel Brown and wife, Loran, of Conyers, GA; two daughters, Regina Brown of Rocky Mount, NC and Lavinia Leak and husband, Abraham, of Willow Springs, NC; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
