Ms. Gwendolyn Turner, 58, passed away on January 12, 2022 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 25, 2022, 11:00 AM at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina, 27893. A public walkthrough will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 3:00 PM until 6:00PM, ***WEATHER PERMITTING** also at Stevens Funeral Home.
Preceding her in death were: her parents, Amos Turner, Jr. and Thelma Wilson Kennon; her step-mother, Geraldine Turner; and one nephew, Frederick Lee Turner, Jr.
Wonderful and cherished memories are left to: one daughter, Jacqueline Turner Pender (Brian) of Wilson, NC; two sons, Antonio Keith Turner (Tanisha) and George Antwan Turner (Jazlyn) both of Wilson, NC; Fourteen grandchildren, Chasity Lavender, Jaylen Turner, Jaden Turner, Jai’vean Turner, Jayceon Turner, George Turner, Jr., Zamir Wise, Jamare’ Turner, Janius Turner, Bra’Shya Pender, Harmony Pender, Im’Unique Pender, A’Shari Pender and Ke’Ziyah Pender all of Wilson, NC; three sisters, Linda Robinson (Darnell), Margo Turner and Theresa Ward all of Wilson, NC; three brothers, Derrick Turner (Wanda) and Frederick Turner both of Cleveland, OH and Amos Turner III of Wilson, NC; eleven aunts, Martha Turner Green, Mary Ann Turner, Doris Wilson, Annie Lewis (Ferris), Angela Rodney (Rupert), Betty Jones (Paul), Mable Sanders (Donnell) and Laura Myers (Troy) all of Moultrie, GA, Annette Turner of New Jersey, Annie Clayton (Thomas) of Miami, FL and Janie McGirt of Pensacola, FL; five uncles, Calvin Wilson of Moultrie, GA, Clarence Anglin (Verdell) and Freddie Turner both of Macon, GA, Eddie Turner (Hattie) of Bainbridge, GA and John Wesley Turner (Marylyn) of St. Louis, MO; a host of other loving family and friends including special friend, Willie James Williams of Wilson, NC.
