Mrs. Eyvonne Bullock Speight, Born to Etta Lee Bates on October 5, 1960 in Greene County, North Carolina, Eyvonne was the oldest of 5 children. Her earthly life ended peacefully as she transitioned to her eternal rest on Wednesday March 29th, 2023 in her home.

Eyvonne received her formal education in the Greene County Public School system and graduated in 1978 from Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, NC. Upon completing her education, she worked in manufacturing in Wilson, NC. A few years later, she relocated to Asheboro, NC with the love of her life, her husband Moses Speight, Sr. They both found work at Klaussner Furniture. Eyvonne worked there for over 20 years, then she worked for Teleflex Medical for over 15 years. She was always a very hard-working, dedicated employee. Her coworkers and friends speak very highly of her character in that she could light up any room with her smile and her laugh.

Eyvonne or “Sally” as she was affectionally known, met and married the love of her life, Moses Speight Sr., and to this union 2 children were born. Eyvonne’s children were her pride and joy: Breanna and Moses Jr. She spent a lot of her time attending games, chorus concerts, and whatever else her children participated in while they were in school. She absolutely loved to shop. Anybody that knew her knows she was passionate about fashion as she always dressed nicely and owned so many clothes. Her husband always said “She has a whole store in that room!”  She loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. Her energy and laughter could make anyone smile!

Along with her mother, Etta Lee Bates, she was preceded in death by her Aunts Bessie Bullock and Bretha Dickens, her Uncle Jerry Bullock, Jr., and her nephew Randy Smith, Jr.

Survived by her loving husband Moses Speight Sr., all her siblings Thomas Bullock (Anita) of Greenville, NC, Gerald Wayne Smith (Cynthia), Lisa Smith, and Randy Smith (Veronica). Two children Breanna Goldston (Jaquan) and Moses Speight Jr. Aunts: Beulah Bullock of Walstonsburg, Mary Edmondson of Wilson, NC and Gwendolyn Bullock of Farmville, NC; Uncles: John Bullock of Maryland and Dennis Finch of Farmville, NC. God-daughter Ta’Nasia Speight. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
